I cannot express enough how beneficial the last decade has been under your Strength Coach guidance, (and as you heard, I already know everything, LOL).
Your training methods, encouragement and guidance have been such a positive influence on my mind and body as I headed into my 50s and now in the 60+ arena. I surrendered to you and your gym a decade (plus) ago knowing I needed to change my routine and be smart about all the aging issues ahead. The total knee replacement was a long time coming, but I was ready for the procedure, and just as important, a proper recovery to good health (body and mind).

I came to you after my senior season of football in high school wanting to get bigger, faster and stronger before I walked onto the team at Charleston Southern University.
You took me under his wing and not only did those things but gave me a bond and a friendship I never knew could be possible with a strength coach. You completely taught me how to snatch, push press, squat, clean and jerk, and I am forever grateful he did.
With this advantage and the time I spent with you every summer and winter while you were programming me away at college I was able to go from a walk on thrower to a full scholarship athlete at Charleston Southern University.

After years of contemplating Olympic Weightlifting (and one failed attempt at another club due to feeling intimidated) in 2020 I finally got the courage to learn Olympic Weightlifting.
In reviewing different clubs in Atlanta, I settled on Strength Lab’s Masters Olympic Weightlifting Club. Immediately (although nervous) I knew I had made the right decision by choosing JT and my soon-to-be teammates.
As a novice I felt welcomed. JT is easy to talk to, has always been supportive with no pressure and genuinely enjoys what he does. His Saturday morning workouts are not only physical training but a fun and positive environment that builds camaraderie. It’s super important to be around that type of energy and like-minded people when training.
Another plus is the gym equipment colors and plates match! And there is always a platform available for me when needed.
Olympic Weightlifting has been a gamechanger for my confidence, my general athletic performance and for me as a person. It will forever be a part of my life and JT / Strength Lab was a ginormous contributor to my journey!
